About the Company
The United States patent which hangs on the wall of our Baltimore,
Maryland office is dated 1891. It depicts a device for milk cans to prevent spillage as the product was hauled by horse and wagon to its dairy destination. Albert Kaestner's grandfather was both the inventor of this device and the founder of our unique company.
More than one hundred years later, Kaestner Company has evolved from tinsmithing to stainless steel process systems. Our customer base has grown from the dairy industry to include a broad range of food, pharmaceutical, beverage, and cosmetics products.
Kaestner Company serves the four-state region of Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. According to Albert Kaestner, president, "Our 18,000 square foot facility incorporates our office, warehousing and manufacturing, along with our dedicated office staff, experienced sales force, and skilled shop and installation professionals. This permits us to provide our customers with a wide range of supplies and service. We can design your system, fabricate those 'special parts,' install and maintain, and complete repairs when necessary."
We are proud to represent many of the most respected names in our industry, from sanitary pumps and valves to instruments and controls. We can also provide the expendable products from numerous manufacturers: boots, brushes, chemicals, and the whole realm of disposables that every plant needs. We are customer driven, and we have learned and changed with our customers' needs.
Internal change has also been important to the health and growth of Kaestner Company: Donald Good, Sr., a talented key employee, has been added to the ownership roster. We enjoy a solid customer base, and see the opportunity for continued growth without sacrificing our "Customer First" policy.
